Job Description

Your role includes being part of the school's student health team and the Swedish subject team. You will be responsible for a grade in the team. You will be part of the subject team for Swedish and Swedish as a second language, where you, together with your colleagues, plan, implement, and evaluate teaching based on applicable governing documents and assignments from the school management.

As a special educator, it is important to have close cooperation with teaching teachers to reach all students together and plan teaching to meet the various needs present. The main task is to provide support to students in the classroom within the regular teaching group, in large and small groups, as well as individually. The position includes, in addition to special education, a mentoring role, and as a mentor, you are part of a work team. We highly value the mentoring role as a good relationship between student and teacher and the home is essential for students to succeed in school.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with special education training and teaching qualifications in Swedish for grades 6-9. You need prior experience teaching as a special educator in primary school. Experience in teaching small groups is an asset.

As a person, you are proactive and take the initiative to drive work forward and achieve results. You are flexible and can easily adapt to changing circumstances, as well as see opportunities in change. You collaborate well with students, colleagues, and guardians by being attentive, clear, and constructive in your communication. As a person, you are outgoing and build good relationships and contacts. You understand how students learn in different ways and adapt your communication so that everyone has the opportunity to succeed. In your work, you see the whole picture and promote the best interests of the organization.
